The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) welcomed IECEP warmly at their headquarters in Eastwood, Quezon City for another edition of the IECEP IndusTRIPS program.

The visit was a part of the Industry Technical Reachout, Immersion and Promotion Session or "IndusTRIPS" program of the Institute. The Philippine Space Agency is the central government agency addressing all national issues and activities related to space science & technology and applications. Created under Republic Act No. 11363, or the Philippine Space Act, the PhilSA is an attached agency of the Office of the President for purposes of policy and program coordination, and to ensure alignment in national policies and priorities.

The Spacecraft Mechanical and Autonomous Systems Development Division led by Chief Science Research Specialist Engr. John Leur Labrador and the Space Mission Control and Operations Division led by Ground Segment Engineer, Engr. Keziah Bartilad who is also of the STAMINA4Space Program, both of which are Electronics Engineers, toured IECEP on its facilities, works, and initiatives. Opportunities for future Electronics Engineers were also discussed in accordance with the growth of the Space Industry in the country.

Capping the trip was a visit to the office of the PhilSA Director General, IECEP and the profession's pride, Dr. Joel Joseph S. Marciano Jr. Matters related to Continuing Professional Development and Education, Professional Upgrades, marketing and promotion of the organization, the various openings for ECEs and collaborations with other professions for the development of the Space Industry and the Scholarship Program named under his father IECEP Former President Joel Marciano Sr.. Dr. Joel also was presented with his permanent Life Membership ID and confirmed his presence as one of the Keynote Speakers for the upcoming IECEP 73rd AGM and Convention. IECEP National President Engr. Lyle Anthony Jowill G. Villas and IECEP Secretary General Engr. Kris Andrew B. Trinidad was part of the delegation.

IndusTRIPS which was spearheaded by the Corporate and External Relations Committee of the Institute for the year aims to engage top industries and organizations in the country either in the private or public sector belonging to the scope of practice of the profession to not only integrate IECEP but engage as well the professionals working on these sectors. Coupled with the Institutional Memberships and Partnerships Committee and its related program, these efforts aim to forge LONG-TERM partnerships with organizations and companies that will be mutually beneficial for the Institute and the member/partner. Staying true to its Next Level Organizational Agenda, IndusTRIPS and the Institutional Membership programs target a member connection-centric approach where IECEP reaches out directly to the members and the industries/companies they belong to and further collaborate to improve their experiences on related professional and organizational matters.
