Timely as it is for the Cybersecurity Awareness Month being celebrated globally and by IECEP as well, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Better Access and Connectivity (BEACON) Activity, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), recognized its valuable partners which include IECEP for its contributions on the Cybersecurity Proficiency Improvement Training (CPIT) Program.
On the sidelines of the consultation of DICT for the National ICT Development Agenda, IECEP National Vice President for External Affairs, Engr. Benjz Gerard Sevilla, joined by his Co-Chair of the Corporate and External Relations Committee, also from DICT, Engr. Gemma Baysic, as well as Committee Member Engr. Michael Stephen Gorospe met with representatives of the Internet Society - Philippine Chapter (ISOC PH) and the Foundation for Media Alternatives (FMA) for an MOU with IECEP on various initiatives related to internet governance, cybersecurity, and privacy, as well as multi-stakeholder policy-making, among others.
IECEP, last October 2, 2023, as a member organization of the Philippine Technological Council, attended the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) and the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE).
